Congratulations to all the schools who worked tirelessly over the last few months and submitted entries into this years Nati Awards competition.
A total of 563 entries were received and they have now been sent out to the judges for their assessment. Finalists will be publicised next week and the winners announced at the Nati Awards ceremony on Wednesday 17th September, starting at 5pm. Please read on to find out more about this years’ festival.

“Ahi Kaa: Through Our Eyes”. A digital photography exhibition by Ngati Porou East Coast students opens Friday 6th August at 6pm at Toihoukura, a leading Maori art institute located in Gisborne. The exhibition runs from August 6-20th.

Secondary students from Ngati Porou East Coast schools are invited to participate in the inaugural Te Rangitawaea Digital Photo exhibition. Ahi Kaa: Through Our Eyes is the kaupapa for this exhibition which will be held at Toihoukura in August. Close off for entries is 18 June.
