2011 Festival Programme

The 2011  Te Rangitawaea Festival will be held on Wednesday 21st  September in Ruatoria at Ngata Memorial College during the day, and Uepohatu marae during the evening.   

8.45 am - Whakatau

9.15am - Expo opens to the public. Schools set up for ICT Team Challenge

9.30am - ICT Team Challenge Briefing ( teachers are allowed 5 minutes with students then must leave)

9.45am - Challenge begins

11am - Workshop with ICT Professionals-  Speaker 1:  Dave Whitehead, BAFTA nominated Sound Designer – “District 9”. Previously worked on “The Lord of The Rings”, “The Lovely Bones” & “King Kong”.

12.30 pm - ICT Team Challenge finishes/ ICT Expo closes down.

12.30pm- Workshop with Speakers 2 & 3: Homai Te Pakipaki Host Te Hamua Nikora & 2011  Homai Te Pakipaki Grand Champ Chad Chambers.

1.30pm- Judging of ICT Challenge- "Google Earth" Component.

2.30pm-  Go and rest for Awards evening.

 

Evening Programme

4.30pm-  Arrive and be seated.

5pm - Nati Award Ceremony Begins

Screening of finalists works and presentation of Nati & Supreme Awards.

9pm- approx Nati Award Ceremony Finishes
